A map of the electronic/festival-EDM music world built from real artist
affinity data: 5,322 artists, positioned and colored by who their fans also
follow. It's for a festival-EDM audience, fans first and scene-mavens occasionally,
exploring how artists and scenes relate: finding the neighbors of an artist you already know,
and getting a feel for the scenes the world breaks into.
How to read it

stray tie to a region won't outrank an artist who actually belongs there

On phones: tap a dot to spotlight it, pinch to zoom, and
the scene index becomes a bottom drawer you can pull up over the map.
Known limitations, honestly. The map's canvas currently has no
keyboard operation and no text alternative for screen readers. This is a real, open gap,
not a design choice. The 22-hue region palette is hard to tell apart for some viewers,
including anyone colorblind. Search doesn't always go as deep as it should. And one small cluster
currently sits detached from the rest, leaving some empty canvas at the default view. These are
known and tracked, not hidden.
